Compress PDF Online

Re-pack PDFs in your browser to shave off wasted bytes. Private, free, no upload.

100% client-side — your PDFs never leave this device. Large PDFs use more memory — very big files may be slow or fail on phones.

About this PDF compressor

This tool loads your PDF with pdf-lib and saves it again using compact cross-reference object streams. Files produced by some scanners, exporters, or repeated edits often carry structural overhead that a re-pack removes.

We're upfront about the limits: images inside the PDF are not resampled, so this is lighter than Ghostscript or Acrobat's "Reduce file size". If the result isn't smaller, you'll see that clearly and can keep the original.

Need to shrink the images first? Use the image compressor before building your PDF, or split out only the pages you need.
